I wanna catch up on my life. I got hired by Kohl's in December of 2008 and relocated and offically started January 2009. Then the retail industry decided to layoff a lot, and I was somewhat humbled to be quite honest. I have been working 4 months out in my first apartment my sister is living with me here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from from SoCal. There is definately a culture shock in moving from Greater Los Angeles to the Midwest.
I have recently come to knock myself off my high horse and quite being so arrogant. My co-workers have noticed this and I am learning a lot more about stuff I thought I knew but know nothing about. But I am learning and learning that asking for help isn't a sign of weakness or stupidity, its a sign of humility and opportunity for growth.
I have decided to stay learning Women's Classic brands as opposed to fighting to get into Juniors art that I am used too and can do freelancing anyways. There is so much to learn and it is really a great learning opportunity - so I have decided to just accept and learn all I can while I'm here at Kohls. And my partner who has a wealth of experience is so friendly in teaching me these things and now I feel she can trust me.
I feel I've grown in these last few weeks. Will keep you posted.
